Since we’re only a month into the school year, I thought a good top 5 to start with should involve schools in video games. So, as promised: the top 5 schools in gaming:

#5 Hogwarts School For Witchcraft and Wizardry (Harry Potter Series)

Ok, this one only makes the list for being a part of the Harry Potter games that I grew up playing. Basically in any of the Harry Potter games where you are at the school, there is a massive environment to explore. Considering the series started back when the GameCube existed, for a world to be as big as the magical kingdom of Harry Potter and Hogwarts really impressed my small child brain. Along with it being my first game series that involved mini dungeons, it was just a fun game to feel like a strong wizard and learn at the same time.

#4 VGHS (Video Game High School)

No, this is not really a video game, but yes, I am including it. For those who don’t know anything about this, Video Game High School is a web series by Freddy Wong on YouTube. The premise is about following a group of friends in a high school environment where the whole curriculum revolves around pro gaming. It is funny, has good acting, and really is better then a lot of shows actually on T.V. right now. If you want to see what I am talking about, just search for it or for Freddy on YouTube.

#3 the Day Care Center (Dead Space 2)

Ok, so… if you have never played Dead Space (mainly 1 and 2) then you should. If you are easily disturbed, then stay away from it, because in the Day Care Center (from Hell) you literally fight possessed babies that explode. Yeah, messed up. It all takes place in a creepy day care center with creepy child music playing. It really is something you never forget.

#2 The College Of Winterhold (Skyrim)

In Skyrim there is a college where you go just to learn magic and do many many missions. If in the game you choose to play as a mage or magic anything, you really need to go here to learn a good amount of spells. Truthfully, I became a vampire in the game and once it glitched, I gave up. I did however spend a lot of time at the College and really felt like it was a good place for learning in the giant, free roaming world.

#1 Bullworth Academy (Bully)

The game bully came from Rockstar Games (GTA and Red Dead creators) back in 2006 and was an entire open world game revolving around private school and trying to take control. At the time (pre GTA 4) it was possibly the biggest open world. You could flirt with anyone, attack teachers, and skateboard threw the halls. It was hilarious how bad you could be when you couldn’t do half the stuff in real life. I never stopped laughing back when I played it and was just plain fun.
